With a sneaky behind-the-scenes photo, Bridgerton season 3 lead Nicola Coughlan previews the start of filming. Since its original debut in December 2020, Netflix’s popular Regency romance series has been nothing short of a huge success. Season 2 of Bridgerton debuted in March of last year to streaming service records at the time.
The first to reveal that Penelope and Colin will take centre stage in Bridgerton season three was Coughlan. Although Netflix was previously mum on the release date for Bridgerton season 3, Coughlan now seems to have confirmed that filming is about to begin. Similar to her alter identity Lady Whistledown, Coughlan generated curiosity by sharing an image on her Instagram stories with the caption “Bridgerton 3. Ep One.” She had previously posted a photo of herself and Newton.
Coughlan, in the Netflix series posted an image of a schedule card on her Instagram Story on May 24. The phrase “Fitting With: Penelope” on the card indicated that filming for Bridgerton season three is about to begin (!!!). If that wasn’t thrilling enough, Nicola added the words “You.Are.Going.To.Lose.Your.Mind” underneath the card.

The TV show’s third season will see the two friends, played by Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan of Derry Girls, finally examining their feelings for one another, skipping ahead in the history of the novels to the fourth book in the series, Romancing Mister Bridgerton.
One of the most popular shows on Netflix is still Bridgerton, and given how well season 2 did, it seems probable that the streaming service will be anxious for viewers to return to the tonne as soon as possible. Following the completion of Anthony and Kate’s narrative, most of the actors from previous seasons, including Bailey and Ashley, are anticipated to return.
