The tremendously popular Netflix series’ final two episodes this season will undoubtedly be filled with adventure, serious terror, and, of course, humour. According to Netflix, the two Vol. 2 episodes will have a combined length of approximately four hours. And, of course, the trailer is set to “Running Up That Hill,” a 1985 Kate Bush song that, owing to its inclusion in Vol. 1, just hit the charts more than 30 years later.

The Vol. 2 trailer was kept under wraps, which meant it wasn’t shared with the media until Tuesday morning, when it was released for everybody to view online. There’s a lot to take in from the trailer, but in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, producer-director Shawn Levy appeared to sum it up best. He said, “Having seen both of those finale episodes, they are as emotional as they are cinematic.” “Holy crap, they’re undoubtedly a visual pleasure, but they also smack you in the gut. So that’s all I’ve got to say about it.”

'Stranger Things 4' Vol. 2 Premieres on Netflix in a Mind-Blowing Trailer for Season Finale 2

Stranger Things 4: Season 1 garnered highly positive reviews, earning an 89 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The premiere of the first seven episodes of the season also set a Netflix streaming record. Stranger Things notched over 286.79 million hours of viewing time worldwide from May 25 to 27, according to the streamer’s own assessment. Season two of Bridgerton, which had 193 million hours of viewing time on its premiere weekend in March, was the previous record-holder.

Instead of Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) or Dimitri “Enzo” Antonov (Tom Wlaschiha), the real breakout character from Stranger Things season 4 is a 63-year-old British pop star. Kate Bush’s ’80s classic “Running Up That Hill” has played a major role in the events of Stranger Things season 4, even saving Max Mayfield’s (Sadie Sink) life. It has to be included in the volume 2 trailer, right?
