After months of speculation over the fate of the DOTA: Dragon’s Blood series, Netflix informed that the anime has already been renewed, and book 3 will be released in August 2022. Here’s all we know about DOTA: Dragon’s Blood book 3 on Netflix thus far.
DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is a fantasy-adventure anime produced by Netflix that is based on Valve’s popular MOBA video game Dota 2. Ashley Miller, best known for his work on the superhero films Thor and X-Men: First Class, designed the series. Kaiju Boulevard and Studio Mir, who previously collaborated on the animated Witcher prequel The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, are producing the anime.

Dota: Dragon’s Blood – Book 3 will be released on August 11, according to Netflix Animation, during the company’s Geeked Week broadcast on Friday. Further than a screenshot showing Mirana pointing an arrow at the viewer, few other facts about the new season were given.
Shortly after, Dota: Dragon’s Blood animators Studio Mir (also known for The Legend of Korra) teased the Invoker and an ornate, magical book that opens on its own on Twitter.

Following the conclusion of season 2, fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Dota: Dragon’s Blood season 3, but it appears they will have to wait even longer for additional information about the imminent launch. Mirana and the Invoker have both been in Dota: Dragon’s Blood since the first season, and their stories appear to be continuing in Book 3.
Dota: Dragon’s Blood, based on Valve’s MOBA video game Dota 2, will premiere on Netflix in 2021. The second season will premiere in January 2022.

The story of Davion, Mirana, and Luna continues in Book 3 as we appear to be nearing the end of Davion’s and Fymryn’s story arcs. Davion and Slyrak appear to have been liberated from their bond by the end of Book 2, with Slyrak departing the Dragon Knight to battle Terrorblade in Foulfell. We’re guaranteed to see an epic battle early in Book 3, and who knows where that story will go from there?

Mirana’s renewed resolve will undoubtedly be a focal point, especially in light of the horrific events in Book 2. If you don’t want to miss out, read the prior two books before moving on to the latest one. That’s great news, especially given Dota Dragon’s Blood Book 3 isn’t due out for another two months.
