Netflix is preparing to release a new series of The Seven Deadly Sins films, and has revealed the first character designs from the upcoming The Grudge of Edinburgh films! Although the original manga series has ended, the plot has been continued with an official sequel series with a whole different cast of characters. But the final moments of the whole anime hinted a far more exciting continuation, with Meliodas and Elizabeth affirming their romance, and now a new series of Netflix movies is suggesting that we will actually get to see an adventure all about their child.
The Grudge of Edinburgh teases a brand-new adventure in the series following Meliodas and Elizabeth’s son, and Netflix is preparing for the first film’s release later this year with some special new artwork! Nakaba Suzuki has created the very first character drawings for the new project, which debuted during Netflix’s Geeked Week this year and tease the kinds of new faces we’ll see in action when it finally lands. The Seven Deadly Sins: The Grudge of Edinburgh, directed by Bob Shirohata, will be released on Netflix later this month. Netflix advertises the new movie as having a unique tale from series creator Nakaba Suzuki. “The story will be divided into two parts and will follow Tristan, the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, the protagonists of The Seven Deadly Sins. Tristan inherited the Goddess Clan’s strength and can heal people’s wounds and ailments, but owing to his inability to manage his Demon Clan power, he frequently causes harm to others. To safeguard his family, Tristan travels to Edinburgh Castle, where he meets a slew of new acquaintances.”
