The first official look at Netflix’s all-new Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend, which will premiere on June 15, has been unveiled. Alton Brown and Kristen Kish will return as hosts, and Mark Dacascos will reprise his role as The Chairman.
Netflix has released an official trailer for the continuation of the culinary competition show, Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend, following the announcement of the show’s comeback. The series, which will premiere later this month, will bring back iconic Kitchen Stadium clashes with a few interesting twists. Apart from each episode pitting a challenger against an Iron Chef, the challenger with the highest-rated performance throughout the season will compete against all five Iron Chefs for the title of “Iron Legend.”
Curtis Stone, Dominique Crenn, Marcus Samuelsson, Ming Tsai, and Gabriela Camara are among the five Iron Chefs featured in the official teaser, which previews shots from the Kitchen Stadium action. Guest judges Francis Lam, Nancy Silverton, Justin Willman, Danny Trejo, Lorena Garcia, Loni Love, Wolfgang Puck, and Masaharu Morimoto will join permanent judges Andrew Zimmern and Nilou Motamed on the panel. Mason Hereford, Curtis Duffy, Claudette Zepeda, Esther Choi, Gregory Gourdet, Mei Lin, and Yia Vang are among the challengers this season.
The official logline for the new season, which will consist of eight 45-minute episodes, is as follows: “The iconic Iron Chef series returns with a larger-than-life take on the groundbreaking culinary competition that started it all. It’s been described as the most difficult culinary challenge a cook will ever face. This is where high-octane sports meet world-class cuisine. Five new trailblazing Iron Chefs will welcome brave Challenger Chefs to the revamped Kitchen Stadium, where they’ll compete and be pushed to their limits of endurance and inventiveness while cooking up incredible gourmet delights. The most successful Challenger in the tournament will face off in a grand finale for the chance to be dubbed the first ever Iron Legend.”
