Eden will once again welcome subscribers as Netflix confirms the renewal of the second season of Welcome to Eden. Here’s all we know so far about Season 2 of Welcome to Eden.
Netflix has been the home of numerous incredibly successful Spanish shows throughout the years, including Elite and Money Heist. Welcome to Eden, which has already had a successful start on Netflix, is hoping to replicate some of that success.
The series was created by Joaqun Górriz and Guillermo López and filmed in the gorgeous Spanish islands of Lanzarote and San Sebastián, as well as the province of Teruel.
The series follows a group of influencers who are invited to a party on the isolated island of Eden, but what appears to be paradise quickly shows itself to be the home of a violent cult out to transform the world.
What can we expect from Welcome to Eden’s second season?
Just as Zoa appeared to be on her way out of the island, a brand new boat full of eager partygoers arrives. Among the most recent victims is Zoa’s sister Gabi, who has no idea what is in store for her. Zoa is now faced with a decision: leave the island and save herself, or stick by her sister Gabi and protect her at all costs. Everyone who arrives on the island is there on purpose; is Gabi’s invitation a ruse to encourage Zoa to stay, or is there a more sinister game at work?
Astrid heads the cult on the island with her partner Erick, but their dominance is challenged by a failed assassination attempt on Erick’s life. Erick survives because to Isaac’s medical talents.
Astrid still controls the island, but with other island rebels striving to seize power, will she be able to keep it? It’s also unknown who stabbed Erick, but a dramatic reveal is expected in the second season.
Africa gained access to a machine after breaking into Astrid and Erick’s home, and without knowing what it does, hits a button that activates an antenna on the island, sending a signal into outer space.
We haven’t learned what the consequences of clicking the button are, but have Astrid and Erick had any contact with probable extraterrestrials? Is the antenna in charge of interacting with the true masterminds behind Eden’s creation?

The Netflix renewal status of Welcome to Eden Season 2
The decision to renew a series before its release is rare, and is usually reserved for Netflix Originals that Netflix believes will perform well.
It didn’t take long, but Netflix France has verified that Welcome to Eden has been officially renewed by Netflix.
Prior to the debut of Welcome to Eden, Spanish news outlet Heraldo announced that Netflix had renewed the series for a second season.
