Netflix has recently released a final trailer for the Season 4 of the popular drama Stranger Things. Alongside some recap videos for all three prior seasons has also been released in anticipation of Stranger Things’ return. Stranger Things Season 4 will be released this week. The first portion of the famous horror series will be released this Friday, and Netflix is gearing up for the largest season yet. First part of Stranger Things Season 4, with the first set of episodes will premiere on Friday, May 27th, and the remaining episodes will premiere on July 1st.

We got the final trailer for Stranger Things Season 4 just one week before the debut. While it doesn’t offer anything new about the plot, it’s jam-packed with classic Stranger Things imagery that elevates the horror series’ epic scale to a new level of fantastic. A sense of impending battle can be felt throughout the trailer, and it appears to be the beginning of the end. This is appropriate given that Season 4 is the show’s second-to-last season. This season, the Duffer Brothers are going all out artistically, with the direction appearing to hold nothing back.

The new trailer lends validity to the film’s apparently enormous pomposity. With Hopper stranded in Russia and Eleven and the Byers in a different state, it’ll be fascinating to see how the season balances all of these disparate themes. We’ll find out soon enough, as the witching hour is approaching.

The recap videos are a wonderful trip down memory lane and a reminder of how far we’ve gone with all of our now-favorite characters. Season 1 introduced us to a fascinating horror universe filled with government conspiracies, Dungeons & Dragons, 80s happiness, and the terrifying Demogorgons. Eleven escaped Hawkins Lab and Will Byers went missing in The Upside Down in the first arc of the series.

The promo for Season 2 highlights Will’s continued connection to The Upside Down, the entrance of Max (Sadie Sink), Hopper’s decision to raise Eleven as his child, and the growth of the Demodog army. The trailer for Season 3 sends us back to the town pool, Hawkins’ fair, and the new Starcourt Mall, which served as important plot points. With the Russians having a secret facility beneath the mall, the size of the story was further enlarged.
