MCU show Agatha Harkness release window has reportedly been disclosed

Agatha Harkness Plan Explained

The premiere date for the Agatha Harkness Marvel Cinematic Universe episode has been reportedly confirmed after months of silence on the project. Agatha: House of Harkness’ release window has reportedly been disclosed, after it was first confirmed to be in the works this past November. According to the official database of the Writers Guild of America, three new writers have joined the team for the MCU show, which is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2023-2024. The listing for Agatha: House of Harkness on the writers’ bios also confirms that the show will be a comedy.

Since a 2023-2024 release window for Agatha: House of Harkness may appear to be a bit wide, it may really provide a more precise date for when the MCU series will launch. With 2024 as a possible release date, the WandaVision spinoff could start streaming in late 2023 and run until 2024, not only allowing it to close the gap between The Marvels’ July 2023 release and the next MCU film, but also filling the currently vacant MCU gap between The Marvels’ July 2023 release and the next MCU film.

The malevolent witch first debuted in the MCU alongside WandaVision, played by Kathryn Hahn, in which she poses as Wanda and Vision’s pleasant neighbour Agnes, who is always keeping an eye on them in the sitcom-like Westview. She is revealed to be the ancient Agatha, who murdered her Salem coven members, including her mother, in 1693 and has been gradually influencing events in Westview in order to seize Wanda’s talents for herself.

Laura Donney, Cameron Squires, and Peter Cameron are the three new writers announced to be joining the Agatha: House of Harkness writing room. Donney wrote WandaVision episode 8, Squires wrote episode 7, and Cameron served as both an executive story editor for WandaVision and a co-writer on episodes 5 and 6.

Critics and spectators alike praised Hahn and her Agatha character for successfully confounding expectations while also leaning into the more comedic nature of the sitcom world and the confidence of her centuries-old evil figure. Following the popularity of WandaVision, which introduced Agatha Harkness to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a spinoff focusing on the character was placed into development nearly a year after Disney+’s first MCU series, and now an intriguing update has allegedly been disclosed.
