Outlander has just finished its sixth season on Starz and is now available in full on Netflix in some locations, but will not be available on Netflix in other regions, such as the United States, for several years. Here’s where and when Season 6 of Outlander will be available on Netflix.
Outlander is a Starz Original that has been airing since 2014 and is distributed by Sony Pictures Television. Its most current season, season 6, ran between March 6th and May 1st, 2022, and consisted of 8 episodes (remember this date for later on.) The series is still going strong, and while a seventh season has yet to be confirmed, a prequel series is in the works.
The fantasy series routinely appears in Netflix’s top ten lists around the world, with most Netflix regions carrying it in varying degrees. Outlander’s sixth season continues Claire and Jamie’s quest to defend those they love as they face the hardships and difficulties of life in colonial America.
Release Schedule for Outlander Season 6
The show is available in select Netflix areas as a Netflix Original, which means it is released solely by Netflix. Beginning March 7th, 2022, new episodes will be available in these regions 24 hours after they show in the United States. Since season 2, these areas have had exclusive access to the show.
The following regions have been confirmed or are anticipated to receive weekly episodes of Outlander season 6:
- Belgium
- France
- India
- Malaysia
- Japan
- Hong Kong
- Poland (no Netflix Original branding)
- South Korea*
- Singapore*
Outlander will be available in most other Netflix areas, although it will not be branded as a Netflix Original. The show is usually broadcast via a local distributor before being released on Netflix at a later date.
The Netherlands, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, and Sweden are among the countries that do not receive weekly episodes of the show.
New seasons are usually released exactly a year after the series premieres in certain regions. For example, Season 5 was released on Netflix Australia on February 17th, 2021. On February 16th, 2020, the series resumed airing new episodes.
If this is the case for Season 6, it will be released on March 6th, 2023 in the other territories stated above.
Season 5 was added to Canada roughly 11 months ago, so you may expect it in late 2022 or early 2023.
In May 2022, Israel and the United States received the fifth season.
As already stated in the schedules. New seasons of Outlander arrive on Netflix US exactly two years after they aired in the United States. That means we won’t see Season 6 of Outlander on Netflix in the United States until May 1st, 2024.
