Will Smith could be replaced in Aladdin 2 by Dwayne Johnson. The entire world has heard about the Oscars 2022 incident in which Smith struck Chris Rock across the face for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss. As surprising as that was, what happened next was perhaps more so.
The King Richard actor was held accountable for his acts. He was kicked out of the Academy and barred from attending any award ceremonies for the following ten years. Furthermore, some people, including a few celebrities, chastised Will for resorting to physical violence as a response.

But nothing compared to Will Smith’s failure to land film deals. According to Giant Freakin Robot, the Pursuit of Happiness actor’s role as the Genie in Aladdin 2 could be transferred to Dwayne Johnson. Will was cast in the live-action Disney film in 2019. It was a big smash, and everyone loved the actor who played the Genie.

However, following the Chris Rock controversy, Will Smith’s role in the Disney sequel may be jeopardised. Aladdin 2, according to rumours, will be released in 2025 and directed by Guy Ritchie. If this information is correct, and Dwayne Johnson does indeed take up the role, it will be a major setback for Smith. The performer did an outstanding job portraying the character played by the renowned Robin Williams.

Smith came to India after the Oscars in 2022. Though it was unclear why this was happening. Meanwhile, according to one source, things may be getting worse for Will Smith, as Jada Pinkett Smith may be filing for divorce.
While Will Smith was recently reported to be seeking counselling, all of the rumours about Dwayne Johnson becoming Genie in Aladdin 2 and Jada divorcing him are just that: rumours.
