Six months after the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott performed live on stage on 7th May. The young rapper performed along with Migos’ Quavo at the E11Even Miami during the Miami Grand Prix weekend. Travis Scott did this concert two days after the six-month anniversary of the Astroworld accident in Houston, Texas which resulted in the death of ten people and hundreds injured in November, 2021.

Scott performed for forty five minutes, taking the stage at 3:30 am. Before the concert, Travis Scott held a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, tossed a pile of money to the audience and said, “Everybody owes me a shot. We need every stripper to report to the f*****g stage right now. We need every bottle reported to this mo********g floor.” He performed four of his tracks including “Goosebumps”, “Sicko Mode”, “Pick Up the Phone” and “Butterfly Effect”, the “STARGAZING” artist also performed “Antidote” which is from his album “Rodeo” released in 2015 and “Bubbly” which features Young Thug and Drake.

Subban enjoyed the performance and so did other celebrities like Damson Idris, Terrence J and Todd English. At one point during the concert Travis stood on the speaker and added, “I’m sorry, no one can be as higher than me!”

This is the first time in six months Travis Scott was seen performing in public ever since the horrific incident in Houston during the Astroworld Festival last year. In January, 2022, the Texas Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation accepted the motion to club four hundred lawsuits, filed by victims, together which is going to be adjudicated by one judge. Now, the lawsuit will represent 2800 victims who demand billions of dollars in compensation, it claims negligence in the organising of the music festival. Meanwhile, Travis Scott sought the dismissal of the lawsuits filed against him, in court filings the artist denied all the accusations.
