Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee celebrations in June, according to reports. This will be the couple’s first public appearance together since they stepped down from their royal duties and relocated to the United States. Although it has been claimed that Buckingham Palace is concerned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be planning to utilise their impending Netflix production to promote their visit to the UK.

The palace is reportedly intending to prevent any crew members from the media giant from filming the golden jubilee celebration, according to The Mirror. According to a source close to The Sun, “While the family is overjoyed that Harry and Meghan are coming, there is a genuine worry of conflict, particularly if any Netflix crew is there. There are fears that if the Netflix team visits the UK and attempts to take advantage of the chances, tensions may rise.” According to the insider, palace personnel will serve as “minders” to keep camera crews at away during the big ceremony.

While Harry and Meghan will be there, together with their children Archie and Lilibet, for the Trooping the Colour ceremony, they will not be standing alongside the Queen on the Palace balcony. Prince Andrew has been forbidden from appearing on the balcony, along with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following his recent sex abuse incident. The royal family’s first encounter with their daughter Lilibet Diana, who was born in June last year, will be during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s visit to the UK for the wedding.

The Queen will finally meet her great-granddaughter (whose name is from Queen Elizabeth’s childhood nickname). This means Lili might meet her cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were said to be missing Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee festivities because Harry had supposedly signed up to play polo with the Los Padres for the entire season in Santa Barbara, California.
