Explicit content of sexual abuse and physical violence
Amber Heard returned to the witness stand on Thursday, detailing how her ex-husband Johnny Depp allegedly sexually attacked her. The actress sobbed as she testified, painting a frightening picture of what she claims happened in Australia in March 2015, roughly a month after she and Depp married in Los Angeles.
Things rapidly became bad for Heard when she arrived in Australia to meet Depp when he was filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, according to ET Canada. Heard said she realised Depp had dropped a lot of weight right away and that when she arrived, he brought out MDMA and invited Amber to take it with him, which she claimed she declined. Though Heard revealed how things became violent when Depp began drinking. She said that on the second day of her stay in the nation, Depp reportedly destroyed a phone in front of her face before threatening and penetrating her with a liquor bottle.
Heard further claimed that as a consequence of the dispute, the two got into a scuffle and that Depp shoved her against a wall. She went on to add to the charges, saying, “I’m in a battle with him, gripping his shirt, and he simply flings me across the room, landing me on a ping-pong table. He climbs all over me. He had just smacked me across the face.” She went on to say that the pair wrestled for a long time on top of the ping-pong table until she eventually got off.
Depp tormented her by holding out a whiskey bottle, she alleged, and when she reached for it, he would draw back and laugh at her.
“I get a hold of it around the third time or so,” Heard claimed, “and slam it down in between us.” Wine is widespread. It definitely riled him up. He began shouting as though a lighting had gone off in his head. I’m not sure whether he smacked me in the face, but it knocked me to the ground. In his hand is a bottle. It missed me when he flung it. He had a shattered bottle on my face-neck area at one point, and he threatened to cut up my face.
She clarified that she couldn’t tell if the bottle she said was within her was broken since she “couldn’t feel it.” She cried on the witness stand as her direct examination asked if Depp had entered her with a liquor bottle. According to Heard, the repeated penetration caused her vaginal bleeding.
Amber testified that the fights in Australia, which have been a key part of this lawsuit, were allegedly sparked by a series of events, including Depp’s alleged drinking. She also claimed that Depp had become jealous of Heard’s work with Eddie Redmayne on The Danish Girl, her work with Billy Bob Thornton on London Fields, and was allegedly upset about Heard being ‘mean’ to his sister.
