A video in TikTok went viral, it addresses how Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney was catcalled recently when she appeared at the Met Gala event this year. Sydney Sweeney attended the Met Gala event for the first time and had to endure disgusting remarks from a male reporter or a photographer when she posed for snaps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
A TikToker shared a video which was originally uploaded by New York Times Fashion & Style account and explained how Sweeney is a victim of sexual harassment as the actress made her Met Gala debut on the red carpet. The viral TikTok video shows someone yelling at Sydney, saying “Does anyone have boobs like you down there?” Then there is another inappropriate comment made to her, taunting, “Come on, show us those boobs!”
Sydney Sweeney is seen responding to the catcalls by laughing off, as soon as the video went viral netizens made their thoughts and feelings known. Many expressed that the individual who made the deplorable remarks should have been made to leave the event, emphasising that sexual harassment must not be overlooked, social media users added that Sydney Sweeney, who plays the character of Cassie Howard in Euphoria, didn’t deserve to suffer such an uncomfortable situation at one of the biggest events of Hollywood, Met Gala.
At the time of the release of Euphoria’s season 2, Sydney talked about her nude scenes in the show and added that the audience fail to focus on her acting and overall performance because of them. In an interview with The Independent this year, the 24 year old actress told, “I’m very proud of my work in Euphoria. I thought it was a great performance. But not one talks about it because I got naked.”
