During his appearance at the Netflix ‘Is A Joke: The Festival’ at the Hollywood Bowl, comedian Pete Davidson offered a few insights about rapper Kanye West in his first stand-up comedy act in three years. According to ‘Deadline,’ Davidson discussed his publicised connection with reality TV star Kim Kardashian, as well as Kanye West’s personal assaults on him. Pete Davidson linked Kanye West’s social media jabs to the notorious Oscars slap between Will Smith and Chris Rock.

Pete Davidson said during his act that West had informed him he had AIDS. He joked that he was certain it was genuine for a brief period since West “is a genius.” He also remembers sitting between Jon Stewart and Chris Rock at a basketball game in December of last year. That time was referred to as “before time.”

He laughed, “Before life was over.” Will Smith’s slap was compared to Kanye West’s Claymation film, in which Davidson’s head was chopped off by a Kanye West impersonator in the video for ‘Eazy.’ Pete Davidson has taken a break from Saturday Night Live to film the Miramax horror film ‘The Home.’

For those who are unaware, Davidson has been chastised by West after forming a connection with the rapper’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. West’s most recent song, Eazy, had a phrase about “beating [Pete] Davidson’s a**,” and the music video depicted Davidson buried up to his neck in Claymation. Interestingly, during his stand-up performance, the comedian quipped that if his King of Staten Island co-star attended one of West’s Sunday Service shows, his friendship with Bill Burr would be over. Meanwhile, Davidson is taking a break from Saturday Night Live to film a new feature.
