Season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Pretty Smart’ has been cancelled after one season

Sitcoms on Netflix have struggled in recent years, and sadly, we can now add Pretty Smart to that list after its cancellation after only one season.
Pretty Smart is a comedy-sitcom series created by Jack Dolgen and Doug Mand for Netflix. Pretty Smart’s executive producers include Kourtney Kang, the former executive producer of How I Met Your Mother. Netflix has struggled to find success with its sitcoms over the years, and while Pretty Smart had the potential to break Netflix’s sitcom slump, it was never to be. The show follows Chelsea, a Harvard-educated intellectual who moves to the West Coast with her carefree sister Claire and three eccentric and loveable roommates.

Has Netflix renewed Pretty Smart for a second season?

We haven’t heard anything about the future of Pretty Smart on Netflix in months. The longer there was no news of renewal on the radio, the more likely it was to be cancelled. Various news outlets reported on April 27th, 2022, that Netflix had cancelled the show after only one season.
The show made it into the top ten on Netflix in the United States. The show only stayed in the top ten for three days, and its highest position was eighth.

It didn’t last longer than 11 days in any region’s top 10, indicating that the show wasn’t a big money maker for Netflix right away.
The IMDb Movie Meter, which measures the popularity of a show in its database, is another source of information. We can see a brief spike in popularity the week after the release, but then a rapid decline.
Claire, who recently ended her relationship with Dave, returned home and began kissing her ex-boyfriend Grant, who has been dating her sister Chelsea!

With the series officially cancelled there can be no further speculation on any future release.
