In the defamation trial between the Kardashian-Jenner family and Blac Chyna, a verdict has been announced. Blac Chyna was recently involved in a legal battle with Kris Jenner and her children Kim Kardashian, Khole Kardashian and Kylie Jenner as Chyna filed a lawsuit against them alleging defamation and interference with her contract with E!.
Blac Chyna sued the Kardashians five years ago and finally on 2nd May, 2022, a judge at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles ruled Kris Jenner and her daughter’s Kim, Khloe and Kylie are absolved of all the questions. Hence, the judge ordered that no monetary compensation will be given to Blac Chyna. Although, at one point jurors in the case had to go back in the jury room for two unanswered questions which they unintentionally overlooked but it did nothing to the verdict.
Each side’s attorneys were present in court when the judgement was declared but the Kardashian-Jenner family were not as they attended Met Gala event in New York City. Blac Chyna did not give any reaction to the ruling and as jurors wrote their individual answers on the form, Blac Chyna walked out of court. Reporters surrounded her asking for her response, however, she left without any reaction or statement.
Whereas, Kardashian’s lawyer Michael Rhodes told that he talked to his clients and “they’re happy to have this behind to them. I think the case was very clear. The jury did a great job, they got it. The family was very pleased and grateful, they were exuberant.” Blac Chyna’a attorney also shared her thoughts, saying, “I’ve never seen in my career before a jury have to go back and deliberate on four questions. The victory is that Chyna did not physically abuse her fiance.”
Chyna, whose real name is Angela White and has a five year old daughter with Kris’s son Rob Kardashian, believed that LA’s high-profile family’s influence was behind her reality show “Rob & Chyna” being cancelled by E!. And just last month, the model opened up about her lawsuit, telling, “When they got my No 1 hit show killed back in January, 2017, that not only hurt me financially and emotionally, that hurt my beautiful kids. I’m taking them to court to stand up for my legal rights and to be an example to my kids that what’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong.”
