DC League of Super Pets: Release date, trailer, cast & more

Based on the DC Comics superhero team Legion of Super-Pets, DC League of Super-Pets is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film created by Warner Animation Group. The movie is all set to release on July 29,2022. In 2018, work on the DC League of Super-Pets begun. Jared Stern, who wrote The LEGO Batman Movie, co-directs the picture alongside Sam Levine. Animal Logic, the same studio that worked on WB’s Lego Movie franchise, animated DC League of Super-Pets, which has another relation to The LEGO Batman Movie.

The film is partially inspired on DC’s superheroes having dogs with similar superpowers, as seen in comic books. It was reported in May 2021 that Dwayne Johnson will play Krypto the Superdog’s voice. In addition to appearing in the film, he would be producing alongside Hicks alongside Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Stern, with John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, and Nicholas Stoller serving as executive producers.

About the Plot

The plot of “DC League of Super-Pets” narrates the story of Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman who are are inseparable best buddies sharing the same talents and combating crime in Metropolis alongside each other. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must persuade a ragtag shelter pack—Ace the dog, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel—to master their newly acquired abilities and aid him in rescuing the superheroes.

Warner Bros. published the first trailer for DC League of Super-Pets in late 2021, which kicked off the promotion for the film. It emphasises Krypto and the other Super-Pets’ quest to save the Justice League, as well as a sneak peek at how several of the cast members sound in their roles. To promote DC League of Super-Pets, WB released another trailer focusing on Keanu Reeves’ Batman.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves are among the voice actors. Dwayne Johnson stars as Krypto the Superdog, Superman’s pet, whose voice is provided by John Krasinski. Kevin Hart as Batman’s dog Ace the Bat-Hound, Vanessa Bayer as Wonder Woman’s size-changing pig PB, Natasha Lyonne as Flash’s speedy turtle Merlon, and Diego Luna as Green Lantern’s electric squirrel Chip round out the Super-Pets cast. Batman will be voiced by Keanu Reeves, while Lex Luthor will be played by Marc Maron.
