The filming of the finale of The Ellen DeGeneres Show comes to an end, the show premiered in 2003 and is regarded as one of the longlest-running as well as popular talk shows on TV. The Ellen DeGeneres Show center around interviews and discussions with Hollywood celebrities, politicians and other well-known personalities, audience dancing, multitude of games and a large amount of prize giveaways.
However, former employees of The Ellen Show revealed that the programme was a hub of toxic behaviour and hostile atmosphere. The allegations of ex staffers of Ellen made headlines in 2020 which resulted in severe backlash. Soon, the 64 year old comedian issued an apology as well an explanation and her show had to make many alterations behind the scenes.
In 2021, she told The Hollywood Reporter that nineteenth season of The Ellen Show will be its last season and also noted that the former emplyees accusations were not the cause of this decision. The “Finding Dory” voice artist shared on Twitter that filming for the last episode of the show had completed, writing a lot of things have changed in the course of running of talk show. The 19th season will premiere on 26th May, 2022 and DeGeneres expressed gratitude to her audience.
In the meantime, DeGeneres celebrated twenty fifth anniversary of her sitcom Ellen’s iconic episode on 28th April during the boadcast, she reminisced her life. During an episode of Ellen on 30th April, 1997, Ellen DeGeneres came out as a lesbian and so did her so did her titular character of Ellen Morgan in the hit ABC series. It was season 4’s episode 22, was titled “The Puppy Episode” and was filmed live in front of the viewers.
