James Corden is Leaving The Late Late Show

James Corden is leaving his “The Late Late Show”, the contract of British actor was extended by CBS for an year and hence he will leave the talk show in 2023 before summer. James Corden would have hosted The Late Late Show for eight and a half years by the time he leaves the show.

During an interview, Corden told, “It’s been a really hard decision to leave because I’m so immensely proud of the show. I’m thrilled to be extending for a year. I always thought I’d do it for five years and then leave and then I stayed on. I’ve really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure.” In 2014, James Corden signed the contract with CBS to host The Late Late Show and the show aired on 23rd March, 2015.

According to a source at CBS, “We (CBS) desperately tried to keep him for longer but James only wanted to do one final year that will keep him on the show until next year. He’s been such a hit for us for so many years, we will miss him very much.” The “Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway” actor was behind unique segments including Carpool Karaoke which involves driving with a celebrity sitting in passenger seat and both the driver and passenger has to sing together, James Corden is the driver.

Carpool Karaoke was developed into a standalone show which went on to win an Emmy award.
