Marvel Studious upcoming project, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a sequel to Black Panther (2018) and the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther, the film is being directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole. Following the release of Black Panther in February 2018, producer Kevin Feige stated that there were various stories to be told about the character, and that he wanted director and co-writer Ryan Coogler to return for a sequel. The film will release on November 11, 2022 as part of Phase Four of the MCU.

First footage from the upcoming MCU movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was featured at CinemaCon. According to press reports, Shuri (Letitia Wright), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), and Okoye (Danai Gurira) led the Wakandan soldiers against an unknown foe. There are rumours that Namor, Marvel’s counterpart of Aquaman, will be the film’s main villain, and that Wakanda will be fighting the troops of Atlantis. In their respective roles, Martin Freeman, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett all return. Dominique Thorne will make her acting debut as Riri Williams, a teenage tech genius who invents a suit of armour that matches Tony Stark’s. The sequel will be the first time we’ve seen Wakanda since Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death in August 2020, and everyone involved in the production is working hard to make sure it pays honour to the late actor.
