Sony announced the official title of the third instalment of the animated franchise Spider-Verse, even before Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is released. Following the announcement of revised dates for the two-part sequels to Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, Sony has released the first 15 minutes of the upcoming ambitious project. The announcement was made at CinemaCon, when the first 15 minutes of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse were screened. The exact title of the franchise’s third instalment was also revealed, hinting at a far bigger adventure for the neighbourhood’s friendly superheroes.

Miles Morales will need the help of his heroic counterparts from other realities to face against the unwelcomed fearsome supervillains who have wreaked havoc on the universe. Apart from Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man 2099, the youthful web crawler from Earth 610 will be joined by a slew of new characters as Sony prepares to explore the multiverse’s lesser-known areas. Along with disclosing that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse would have 240 characters, six universes, and the largest cast ever assembled for an animated picture, Sony also revealed that the film will feature the largest cast ever assembled for an animated film.

On June 2, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theatres, followed by Beyond the Spider-Verse on March 29, 2024.
The sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was supposed to be out on October 7, 2022, but it was pushed back a few days.
Now, on July 7, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be published just a month before Madame Web. Another Spider-Man spin-off, starring Dakota Johnson, will explore the background storyline of a clairvoyant with psychic skills who can see into the spider world itself.

Sony also confirmed Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequels, as well as El Muerto, a Spider-Man spinoff starring Bad Bunny as Marvel’s first live-action Latino star.
