Undone is a series on Amazon Prime Video which premiered in September of 2019 and it is the online streaming service’s first original adult animated series. Now viewers are eagerly waiting for season 2 of Undone. The show centers around a woman called Alma Winograd-Diaz, 28, who lives in San Antonio, Texas, she suffers a motor accident. After Alma’s almost death experience, she uncovers that her perception regarding time radically changes and she has a power to travel through space and time. Hence, the protagonist uses her power to find about more about her dad’s death.
Undone is a psychological drama, directed by Hisko Hulsing and co-created by Kate Purdy and Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Though it is animation, the themes and subjects which Undone touches upon are pychologically deep and thought-provoking. Viewers who are into animated content or mental health topics will love it, eight episodes of first season are still available on Amazon Prime. Season 2 of Undone will have eight episodes which will air on 29th April. The official trailer of the new season was released on 2nd April and it offers something new, Alma uncovers that her sister Becca Winograd-Diaz shares the same powers. In the wake of both being able to travel through time, the sisters venture into their past to find the answers to their questions.
Almost each member of the original cast will reprise their roles in the new season of Undone. Actors Rosa Salazar, Angelique Cabral, Constance Marie, Siddharth Dhananjay and Bob Odenkirk will certainly feature. The protagonist is Alma Winograd-Diaz, she is Mexican-American who is living in San Antonio, Texas and following a car accident which almost killed her, Alma decides to leaves her job and relationship with and goes to Mexico to reconnect with her dad. Becca Winograd-Diaz is Alma’s sister, she was to be married but calls off her engagement and goes to Mexico to help her sister. Becca also gets the power to travel through time. Jacob Winograd is Becca and Alma’s father, he used to be a researcher and died strangely. Just like in season 1, Jacob’s character will help Alma in her quest for the truth.
In the first season, the lead character discovers that she can ascertain more information concerning her father’s death which has always been a mystery via her supernatural ability. And in season both the characters of Alma and Becca will dig deeper which is ultimately going to give them much-needed closure concering the demise of their dad and heal them emotionally. The synopsis of Undone season 2 is “Alma realizes there are deeper mysteries in her family’s past. However, no one in her family is interested in digging up uncomfortable truths with her–until she finally convinces her sister Becca to help her look. As the sisters search for answers, they unravel a complex netwrok of memories and motivations that have shaped who they are today. They realize by healing this family trauma they can make all of their lives better.”
