A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are enjoying each other’s company as they prepare to welcome their first child.
Following Rocky’s arrest earlier that week, the Grammy Award winner, 34, stepped out with Rocky, 33, for what one source described as a “happy and relaxed” dinner with an intimate group of friends at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California.
“It was a happy and laid-back crowd. Rihanna was stunning. “She sat next to A$AP,” the source tells PEOPLE, adding, “They dined for a couple of hours.” Rihanna and the baby were the centre of attention.”
Rocky (born Rakim Mayers) was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday in connection with a November shooting. The Los Angeles Police Department detained him after he returned from a vacation with Rihanna in her native Barbados on a private plane that morning.
The Testing artist has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon (firearm), and his bail has been set at $550,000. Later that day, Rocky was released from prison.
Following an argument, he allegedly shot a man, and the victim claimed Rocky fled the scene on foot with two other men. According to police, the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
Rocky’s representative did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment following his arrest. In connection with the allegations, he has not appeared in court.
Rihanna and Rocky announced their pregnancy in January, when the mother-to-be revealed her baby bump while out and about in New York City.
