Megan Thee Stallion addresses the pain and suffering she endured in the wake of her shooting in July, 2020. The “Thot Shit” artist recently gave an interview to CBS Mornings’s anchor Gayle King and described the moment when she was shot in both her legs by Tory Lanez while having a party in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles. The rapper recounted, “It was an argument because I was ready to go and everybody else wasn’t ready to go, but that’s like normal friend stuff. We fuss about silly stuff all the time. But..I never put my hands on anybody, I never raised my voice too loud. This was one of them times where it shouldn’t have got this crazy.”

Megan Thee Stallion narrated her ordeal, telling Gayle King that the shooting occurred outside her parked vehicle when Tory Lanez, who was standing near her car window, opened fire on her, she told, “So, I get out the car and it’s like, everything happens so fast. And all I hear is this man screaming, he said, ‘Dance b***h!’ And he started shooting.I’m just like, ‘Oh my God.’ He shot a couple of times. I didn’t even want to move. I didn’t want to move too quick, ’cause I’m like, ‘Oh my God, if I take the wrong step, I don’t know if he could shoot something that’s super important, I don’t know if he could shoot me and kill me.”

The “WAP” singer broke down, sharing, “I was really scared cause I had never been shot at before.” Tory Lanez, a Canadian rapper, was arrested soon after shooting Stallion and charged with carrying a concealed gun, however, thanks to the criminal justice system Tory Lanez got out of prison on the very same day after paying a bail of $35,000. Although, later in October, 2020, additional charges were filed against him which include assault with a semiautomatic gun, personal use of a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered gun in a vehicle. In fact, in April this year, he was arrested again as he violated court orders which forbidden him from ever getting in touch with Megan Thee Stallion or talking about something pertaining the case with outside parties.

Tory Lanez plead not guilty to the charges. After the court order, he still spoke about Stallion on social media and even revealed about the DNA evidence on Twitter. His next court hearing is set on Septemeber this year. Earlier, Megan Thee Stallion did an Instagram live video in which she opened up about her trauma, “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and shit. Stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand. I tried to keep the situation off the internet, but you’re dragging it.”
