Tom Grennan: Another Victim Of Skyrocketing Crime In NYC

Artist Tom Grennan was attacked in New York City following which he was hospitalized, a statement released via his official Instagram account confirms. The “Something In The water” singer is on a tour and performed at The Bowery Ballroom on 20th April.

The statement on his social media account reads, “In the early hours of this morning after Tom’s New York Show he was the victim of an unprovoked attack and robbery outside a bar in Manhattan. Tom is currently in hospital being assessed by doctors for his injuries which includes a ruptured Ear, torn Ear-Drum and issue with this previously fractured jaw. Tom is in good spirits but needs to temporarily recuperate whilst doctors assess his ability to continue with his touring.”

As per his tour schedule, he was suppose to perform in Washington D.C. on Friday (show cancelled) and Boston on Saturday. The statement continues, “Tom is desperate not to let anyone down, however, we have taken the precautionary decision to postpone the Washington show tomorrow to a later date, with details to follow. We will update on future shows should changes need to be made. We wish to thank Tom’s incredible US fans for their support and understanding.”

Earlier in the day, Tom Grennan posted a picture on his Instagram which shows him standing in front of a crosswalk traffic light whith his finger pointed at the camera. There was also another snap from his performance in NYC which shows the crowd of audience holding their phones with flashlights on.

The British performer began his music tour from Minneapolis, Minnesota on 14th April. Tom Grennan’s American music tour will conclude in Los Angeles on 27th April. From LA he will start his music tour of Europe and end it in Munich, Germany at the Superbloom festival on 4th September.
