Hollywood star Alec Baldwin and his spouse Hilaria Baldwin made their first red carpet appearance ever since the horrific tragedy on the set of movie “Rust” in October, 2021. The couple attended the peformance of the play called “Hangmen” of playwright Martin McDonagh.
“It’s Complicated” star and his wife Hilaria Baldwin were recently seen in New York City with their kids since the incident in which Rust’s crew member Halyna Hutchins, who was a cinematographer, died. Alec Baldwin was also seen in Italy while on the set of a few Christmas movies. The husband-wife’s presence at the 21st April event makes their first time walking the red carpet together since the fatal accident.
As per court documents, in March, Alec Baldwin expressed that the shooting of Rust must be completed following the tragedy as a way to honor it’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. In October last year, during the filming at the New Mexico set of the movie, the 42 year old victim was shot dead after the gun Baldwin was holding unintentionally went off. Joel Souza, the director, was also shot but survived.
A lawsuit was filed this year against Alec by the victim’s husband Matthew Hutchins for the wrongful death of his wife. The producers of Rust are also facing lawsuits which accuse them of neglecting safety concerns and reckless conduct on the set. Baldwin’s lawyers mentioned in a court filing that he insisted the cast and crew to finish the filming after the passing of Hutchins because he wanted to financially support her husband and son, 9, with the proceeds of the movie.
However, Hilaria Baldwin has time and again expressed support for her husband via sweet posts on social media such as the one on his 64th birthday in which she wrote that she would marry him “a million times” over. Alec and she are also expecting their seventh child. With the baby’s arrival, the Boss Baby star will become dad of eight children including his 26 year old daughter Ireland from his first marriage with Kim Basinger.
