Actor Bill Murray is accused of obscene conduct at the set of Aziz Ansari’s film called “Being Mortal”. Bill Murray is part of a complaint which was filed recently, the Searchlight Pictures is inquiring the complaint and has put the film production on hold for now. The details of the complaint have not been made public. Aziz Ansari and Bill Murray’s spokespersons did not respond to media’s questions.

Searchlight Pictures suspended the production of Being Mortal on 20th April and notified the cast and crew via an email, which read, “We know you are all concerned about the recent delays in production and want to give you an update. Late last week, we were made aware of a complaint, and we immediately looked into it. After reviewing the circumstances, it has been decided that production cannot continue at this time. We are truly grateful to all of you for everything you’ve put into this project. Our hope is to resume production and are working with Aziz and producer Youree to figure out that timing. Production will be in touch with you to share details on the wrap, and we will let you know as soon as we have more information to share.”

Being Mortal is Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut, the “Master Of None” star is also serving as the writer and playing a role in the movie. Ansari is not named in the complaint against Bill Murray. Being Mortal is adapted from a book titled “Being Mortal: Medicine And What Matters In The End” and focuses on the field of hospice and end-of-life. The cast also includes Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.

This is not the first time Bill Murray has been accused of inappropriate behaviour as earlier his co-star Lucy Liu in the film “Charlie’s Angels” revealed that he humiliated her at the set of the film which released in 2000. Lucy Liu told the LA Times’ Asian Enough podcast, “Some of the language was inexcusable and unacceptable, and I was not going to just sit there and take it. So, yes, I stood up for myself, and I don’t regret it. Because no matter how low on the totem pole you may be ore wherever you came from, there’s no need to condescend or to put other people down.”
