Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ is the upcoming American superhero film. It is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s twenty-eighth film and the eleventh entry of Phase Four. The movie is directed by Sam Raim and written by Michael Waldron. The cast of the movie consists of Benedict Cumberbatch alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.

While Raimi was not always the man behind Doctor Strange 2, he took over directing duties when Scott Derrickson left. Despite Raimi’s taking over from Derrickson, the project continues to fluctuate.  Due to COVID-19 and lengthy reshoots, Multiverse of Madness has gone through multiple delays, but Marvel seems to have put everything back together now.

Bruce Campbell recently spoke with Game Informer about the last-minute changes in the upcoming MCU blockbuster Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness. Talking about extra scenes being added to the movie the actor said: “The Marvel guys, they make eight of these movies at the same time, so they’re always updating storylines. So, my buddy Sam [Raimi] has had to add scenes that [Marvel] told him he had to shoot, and he’s removed scenes that no longer apply. So until May rolls around I don’t think Benedict Cumberbatch even knows if he’s in this movie or not.”

We shouldn’t be surprised that the final cut of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is coming down to the wire. It feels as though this movie will have a lot of influence on how the MCU develops in the future. The movie will unveil what changes have been made when it comes out on May 6th, whether it be a last-minute cameo or a few small edits here and there.
