Netflix’s most anticipated romantic drama Virgin River had been renewed for its fourth season back in September 2021. The series had also been renewed for the fifth season. Based on Robyn Carr’s novel series of the same name, the series follows the story of Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse who moves to a small town, Virgin River to start a new life, and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), owner of town’s local restaurant and former Us Marine. There is no doubt that this show will continue to be a massive hit on Netflix. The show enjoyed tremendous popularity after its second and third seasons were released in November 2020 and July 2021, respectively.
Netflix has confirmed that the show will keep entertaining us with its fourth and fifth season. The fourth season is scheduled to release somewhere around July or August this year. Reportedly, the production was scheduled to start the filming of Season 5 in March this year but this doesn’t go according to the plan and the filming of season 5 got postponed. In an interview with Express, the main lead Alexandra Breckenridge revealed, “Season five, we were supposed to start in March, But we’ve been pushed so, I don’t know. I don’t know man. I’m hoping that maybe we’ll start in the summer. It would be nice to film in Vancouver in the summer rather than the winter.”
According to What’s on Netflix, the filming will now progress and finally start on July 1, 2022, and might conclude by November 2022. Season 4 of Virgin River wrapped filming just over a month ago in Vancouver. Season 4 fans should expect to wait at least three to four months for new episodes to arrive on Netflix. A series’ post-production process usually takes a long time before it is released on a streaming service. From our point of view, the show will most likely premiere during August this year.
