Actor Barry Keoghan was arrested last week following being drunk on a balcony in North Dublin. Barry Keoghan who is 29 and starred in Marvel’s Eternals and portrayed the character of Joker in The Batman, got arrested on 10th April, Sunday, however, he was released without being charged and was given a notice. Ireland’s national police called An Garda Siochana didn’t respond to the media and so did rep of Barry Keoghan.
As per a source police officers responded to a call of a “man on a balcony in an intoxicated state” in an apartment building near his relative’s home. The source added, “When officers arrived, Keoghan wasn’t threatening in any way but was arrested and brought to the station, where he was dealt with before being released. The matter is finalized and nothing more will come of it.”
In August, 2021, Barry Keoghan was attacked in Galway, Ireland and subsequently hospitalised, Sunday World which is an Irish media organization told that the actor suffered “serious facial injuries” and was found near the G Hotel on 15th August in the morning. He was admitted to a hospital and released swiftly. His role as Joker in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman was cut but the director Matt Reeves later shared a deleted-scene of Barry Keoghan playing the iconic Joker.
