Netflix’s new upcoming American legal acting series The Lincoln Lawyer is all set to hit Netflix on May 13, 2022. Based on the 2008 novel The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly, the series was created and executive produced by David E. Kelley. The series has 10 episodes in total each an hour long.
Manual Garcia-Rulfo stars as Mickey Haller, a defense attorney who works out of a chauffeured Lincoln Town Car instead of an office. In 2011, Matthew McConaughey starred in a film called The Lincoln Lawyer 2011. The movie was an adaptation of Michael Connelly’s novel starring Mickey Haller as the lead character. The series is not directly related to the film but it has been adapted from the second novel series of ‘The Brass Verdict’.
Netflix has recently dropped the trailer of the series. The trailer portrays Mickey whose ex-partner has been killed and now he is eager to solve the case and has taken the responsibility for his ex- fellow’s case. In the midst of this, it also involved the murder trial of Trevor Elliott (Christopher Gorham), a man who is accused of killing his wife and her lover. It has not been confirmed whether Trevor is guilty or not but surely both of their liver are threatened. The lawyer also wants to improve things with his wife Maggie, played by Neve Campbell.
“One thing I know is, that success is all about momentum. In court, you can win, but you’ve got to believe you can win. And if you don’t? Then, you better fake it till you make it,” Manuel Garcia-Rulfo has said in one of the clips from the trailer. The cast of the series includes Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson, Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Christopher Gorham as Trevor Elliott, all starring in leading roles.
