Roswell, New Mexico will return for a fourth season on The CW, and as with previous seasons, season 4 will also be available on Netflix, but only in the United States and only after the series has concluded airing. Because the show is part of the summer lineup, it won’t be available on Netflix until late 2022.
If you’re unfamiliar with the series, it’s an adaptation (the second to hit our screens) of the Melinda Metz novel. The CW series premiered in 2019, and all three seasons are now available on Netflix US. Season 4 of Roswell, New Mexico was confirmed by The CW before season 3 even began airing on Netflix.
Season 4 production began in August 2021, with filming locations in New Mexico including Espanola, Moriarty, Bernalillo, Las Vegas, Pecos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and the San Felipe and Santo Domingo pueblos. Filming is set to conclude in January 2022.
When will The CW air Roswell, New Mexico?
The series must first air on The CW before being released on Netflix.
Given the production schedule and the fact that the series will air on The CW as part of the network’s summer lineup, this is a safe bet. It will air at the same time as In The Dark, with new episodes beginning on June 6th.
Season 3’s premiere date was also pushed back from January to July, as opposed to the usual January and March window.
As always, the best way to catch new episodes of Roswell, New Mexico as they air is to watch them on The CW app a few hours after they air, but episodes don’t stay there for long.
Release Date for Season 4 of Roswell, New Mexico on Netflix
As previously stated, new seasons of Roswell, New Mexico are released on Netflix in the United States about a week after they are completed. Season 3 premiered a little later, but that’s understandable given the production delays.
With a later June start date, we don’t expect the show until late 2022. We’re expecting the new season to arrive in October 2022, but it could arrive anywhere between September and November 2022.

Instead, we anticipate that the series will become one of HBO Max’s flagship shows as it expands globally (it recently touched down in mainland Europe and Latin America for instance).
