Cuba Gooding Jr Pleads Guilty To Kissing A Waitress Without Her Consent

Three years after he was arrested and accused by many women of sexual harassment and assault, Hollywood actor Cuba Gooding Jr pleaded guilty to count one charge of touching a woman without her consent in a rooftop bar in New York City in the year 2018. Cuba Cooding Jr, who is 54 years old, admitted during his guilty plea that he kissed a woman on the lips without her permission at the LAVO New York restaurant and nightclub.

The New York Times reported that the plea deal accepted by Gooding Jr on 13th April, Wednesday, provides no prison time for the actor. The conditions of the plea deal state that he has to go through counseling for six months and then he can plead guilty to harassment instead of misdemeanor. Gooding apologized at the courtroom, telling, “I apologize for ever making anybody feel inappropriately touched”. In June, 2019, Cuba Gooding Jr surrenderd to the NYPD after a woman accused him of groping her at a bar in Manhattan, the victim stated that he was inebriated during the sexual assault and had groped her beasts. The incident took place at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge.

Later on, two more women accused Gooding of sexual misconduct, one of which he pleaded guilty to yesterday. If the high-profile case goes to trial then prosecutors will call nineteen witnesses who have made identical allegations against him in order to prove a pattern in his problematic behavior. In 2020, Cuba Gooding was accused by a woman of raping her two times in the year 2013 in his hotel room in New York City, that case too is ongoing. The Oscar-winning star has worked in popular projects such as Jerry Maguire (1996) and starred in Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story (2009) and American Crime Story: The People v O.J. (2016).
