Season 3 of Outer Banks is one of the most eagerly awaited Netflix Original programmes, with fans eager to learn more about the next season. The good news is that it’s presently being shot in South Carolina and Barbados, but fans will have to wait a bit longer for an official release date from Netflix. The cast took a break from filming Season 3 of the programme, and now we have a tease to add to the excitement. Outer Banks, for those unaware, is a teen drama about a bunch of treasure seekers known as the Pogues. The first two seasons highlighted unsolved mysteries, but it appears that Season 3 will reveal some answers and maybe open up new ones.
Plot for Season 3
So much happened in the season 2 finale that makes things even more unclear .After killing Ward in the same manner as John B’s father and failing to reclaim the gold cross, our favourite Pogues have found themselves alone on a mystery island (aka Poguelandia). Knowing Rafe and Kie’s parents, the Pogues might not be stranded there indefinitely, even if they have no idea how to go back home. And, because it’s the Outer Banks, there was a surprise twist at the end: John B’s father is still alive. We’re not sure how or why he’s been missing for so long, but he appears to be on his way out. This father-son reunion will undoubtedly cause a stir, which the showrunner admitted to cover a huge part for the season 3.
Cast & Release Date
Outer Banks’ official accounts shared photographs on Feb. 28 marking the start of Season 3 production. Season 3 has yet to be given an official release date. Given that filming has only recently begun, we expect the new season to premiere in late 2022 or early 2023.
Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Austin North, Drew Starkey, and Charles Esten will all return for Season 3 of Outer Banks, in addition to Chase Stokes. Carlacia Grant, who portrays Cleo, the newest member to the central Pogues buddy circle, has been promoted to series regular, according to Deadline.
