During his final days on earth Gilbert Gottfried expressed support for comedian Chris Rock. Gilbert Gottfried talked about the Will Smith controversy in his last Instagram post yesterday on 12th April, when Smith slapped Chris Rock in front of everybody at the 94th Academy Awards. Gottfried posted a picture of himself with Rock on 28th March and wrote in the caption, “Which is the worst crime? Chris Rock being physically assaulted or Chris Rock telling a joke?”
Gottfried’s Instagram post with Rock is the last one he made before his demise. His friend named Glenn Schwartz said that he died due to Recurrent Ventricular Tachycardia due to Myotonic Dystrophy type 2. News of Gilbert Gottfried’s death was shared on his Twitter and Instagram platforms, his family posted a photo and wrote, “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness. In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children.”
Gottfried was best known for his character of bird lago in Disney’s classic Aladdin (1992). People know him for his bold voice. He worked with Chris Rock in several projects such as Doctor Dolittle (1998) and Beverly Hills Cop 2 (1987).
