American singer Jack White and Olivia Jean get married on Friday on stage in a tour opener in Detroit. Jack also launched a new album and played the National Anthem for Detroit Tigers. Earlier that evening Olivia performed the opening act for Jack at the iconic  Masonic Temple Theatre. Both Jean and White also share the same hometown.

Olivia joined him on stage as background vocals on ‘Hotel Yorba’ more than an hour into his performance. “I love her very much,” White said, introducing Olivia as his girlfriend before things escalated for the couple. Jack asker Olivia “I’ve got a little question for you, Olivia Jean. Will you marry me?” After saying yes Olivia’s face was tear-streaked.

In a live onstage ceremony officiated by Ben Swank, co-founder of White’s record label, Jack and Olivia got married at the Masonic Temple. In the years before tying the knot with girlfriend Olivia, Jack was married to ‘White Stripes’ drummer Meg White from 1996 to 2000, and British model Karen Elson from 2005 to 2013.

White closed the concert by saying, “God bless you, Detroit.”.”What a Day”. The twelve-time Grammy winner also released his new solo album, “Fear of the Dawn,” and performed an instrumental version of the “Star-Spangled Banner” during the Tigers’ win over the White Sox, 5-4, in the ninth inning.

White started “The White Stripes” a rock band in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan. The group consisted of Jack White(songwriter, vocals, guitar, piano, and mandolin) and his ex-wife Meg White (drums and vocals). In 2002, the White Stripes became well known as part of the garage rock revival scene after releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit music scene.
