Singer and actress JoJo Siwa has walked off the film produced by Will Smith called Bounce, the development follows Will Smith’s Oscars 2022 controversy when the Best Actor award winner at the 94th Academy Award slapped comedian Chris Rock on national television. Smith is facing repercussions for his actions which includes him resigning from the Academy. Now, youtuber JoJo Siwa exited Will Smith-produced film which is adapted from the book by the same name written by Megan Shull. However, as per sources JoJo Siwa left project months before the infamous incident and her decision is not connected with what happened at the Oscars, Will Smith got infuriated for a joke made on Jada Pinkett Smith.
As per Variety, during the GLAAD Media Awards JoJo Siwa talked about the matter and stated that the film project is paused for now and is nearly over, “That project got put on hold, and then went away. It wasn’t the one.” Then she reiterated that her decision to walk out of Bounce project is not due to Will Smith and Chris Rock’s dispute, continuing, “I normally stay out of all politics, it’s not my gig. But, I will say that being kind to one another is very important. I think that can go both ways, kindness.”
Will Smith’s movie Bounce was announced in 2020 and the idea was put forward by Caleb Pinkett. Chris Rock was hosting the last bit of the Oscars, he was presenting an award when he mocked Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head by calling her GI Jane 2. Soon, Will Smith got triggered, went to the stage and hit him. After going back to his seat Smith yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f*****g mouth.” Chris responded by saying, “Will Smith smacked the shit out of me.”
