Viewers are fond of crime, violence, drug cartels, money laundering, mafia families etc and that is what Ozark actually offers. The plot of Ozark is based on a financial advisor named Marty Byrde who devises a plan of money-laundering in central Missouri after his drug cartels in Mexico are caught by the authorities. Marty then shifts with his family to Osage Beach near Lake of the Ozark. There he stumbles upon many crime families such as the Snell, Langmore and later the Civella family also known as the Kansas City Mafia.
Ozark has three seasons as well as first part of fourth season and the second part of the fourth season will arrive soon. It is one of the most talked about shows on streaming platforms. As part 2 of season 4 will release, most fans are wondering whether Ozark will have fifth season. However, in a tweet Netflix confirmed that Ozark will end after part 2 of season 4.
The reason why such a critically acclaimed and hit series won’t have a fifth season is obvious, regardless of the viewership and profitability of a show these streaming services set a limit to the episodes so that the plot is maintained otherwise dragging it further just to earn money will end up horribly for the cast and producers. Therefore, to make the story believable the makers considered it is suitable to wrap up Ozark.
Currently, the final season of Ozark is released in two parts, one of which aired on January this year whereas fans have been eagerly waiting for the second which will release soon. As far as episodes are concerned, season 4 has fourteen and seven of which are available on Netflix.
