Squid Game's Jung Ho-Yeon Is Now A Hollywood Star

Squid Game’s star Jung Ho-Yeon has gotten another massive project in Hollywood as it has been confirmed that the South Korean actress will star alongside actors Cate Blanchett and Sacha Baron Cohen in a show. Variety reported that Jung Ho Yeon will also star in the upcoming film “The Governesses” which will be directed by Joe Tablot and will feature actors Renate Reinsve, a Nowegian actress, and Lily-Rose Depp, known for Voyagers (2021) and Wolf (2021) and the movie has been adapted from Anne Serre’s novel of the same title.

Jung Ho Yeon has established a position in Hollywood because recently she won awards at the SAG and Critics Choice Award ceremonies and also appeared in The Weeknd’s music video of his latest song called “Out Of Time”, another prominent figure who featured in the music video was Jim Carrey. Renate Reinsve, who is the costar of Jung Ho Yeon in The Governesses received praise for her acting in the movie “The Worst Person In The World” which was nominated at this year’s Academy Award. Renate Reinsve won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in The Worst Person In The World.

The Governesses will be filmed in Spain and the storyline will focus on three defiant governesses who will invigorate the males they are suppose to educate and affect the houshold where they work, Anne Serre’s book has been regarded as a feminist fantasy. Joe Talbot has earlier directed two critically acclaimed films such as The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019) and American Paradise (2017), the latter one is a short film.
