K-pop band BTS has fans all around the world, the members are considered as idols by many and it is quite common that what idols do their disciples follow it. The BTS ARMY is no exception but there are a few photos online which appear to show a member named Kim Taehyung known as V smoking a cigarette. The photos were met with shock and disappointment and fans made their concerns for V’s habit known on social media.
The photos are from the Grammys held last week and V can be seen smoking a cigarette outside the venue, soon the hashtag “Taehyung smoking” started trending on social media and netizens began calling him out. But several people also came to his defense arguing that he is an adult and can do whatever he wants. Considering the smoking is harmful and recently BTS members have went through a lot such as Jin’s finger surgery as well as Jungkook and RM testing positive to Covid 19, it is understanable that ARMY is worried about the health of the members of the Korean boy band.
V is making headlines not only for smoking a cigarette but also his interaction with Grammy-winning singer Olivia Rodrigo, who performed right before BTS. V was caught whispering something in the ear of Olivia Rodrigo and looked into her eyes before BTS’s performance at the biggest night in the American music industry. A video of the exchange between both went viral and shows Rodrigo gasping as V shows her a card, points at the stage and flicked it away.
At the Grammy Awards 2022, BTS got nominated in the category of Best Pop Duo or Group Performance for their hit track called “Butter”, which was released in May last year. However, they lost the award to Doja Cat and SZA’s popular song “Kiss Me More”. After the Grammys, BTS have four concerts lined up in Las Vegas this month called “Permission To Dance On Stage” which will be held at Allegiant Stadium.
