Chris Rock's Brother Rips Into Will Smith For Slapping Him

The feud between Will Smith and Chris Rock is not disappearing anytime soon, as everyone including those who don’t watch American films are aware of the unprecedented incident at the Oscars when Will Smith went up to the stage and smacked Chris Rock in front of the audience after the “Grown Ups” actor mocked Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head calling her “GI Jane 2”. The slap dominated the news for a while and now days after 94th Academy Awards, Chris Rock’s brother Tony Rock has denounced Will Smith.

Recently, Will Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences after apologising to Chris Rock via an Instagram post. However, Tony Rock took to the stage to perform his standup show, as soon as he entered he received a huge applause. He began his standup by bringing up his brother’s controversy, saying, “If you walk your a** up here, you ain’t nominated for s**t but these mo*******ing hands. I didn’t want to start the show like that!”

Tony resumed citing the slap episode, “You gonna hit my mo*******ng brother because your b***h gave you a side-eye?”. Earlier, Tony Rock rejected Will Smith’s apology and added that his brother is doing okay. Will Smith publicly said sorry to Chris Rock on Instagram, in a post he wrote, “Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally. I would like to publicly apologise to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be.”
