Netflix’s new teen drama ‘Heartstopper‘ is a young adult LGBTQ+ series this is set to release on April 22, 2022. Based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by ‘Alice Oseman’, the drama is about love relationships and discovering one’s identity. The show is directed by Euros Lyn and produced by the See-Saw company. Daniel Edwards-Guy served as casting director. First look images of the show were revealed on 1 March 2022 followed by a teaser on 16 March. The shooting for the movie was already wrapped up in June last year.
Plot of the ‘Heartstopper’
The story revolves around a teen boy, Charlie(Joe Locke) who is openly gay and a student at an all-boys British Secondary Grammer school and Nick (Kit Connor), a compassionate rugby player. They both meet each other in a form class at school. Charlie instantly becomes friends with Nick and their friendship grows stronger day by day. When Charlie got into a fight with a classmate in school named Ben, Nick immediately comes to help him. They start spending a lot of time together and ultimately Charlie starts falling for Nick but he doesn’t want to ruin the friendship between them. Nick on the other hand is still confused about his sexuality. Later, Charlie finds out that Nick is far more interested in him.

Netflix has released the new trailer for the show. The new trailer gives us a sneak peek at the teen romance between Charlie and Nick. The trailer portrays the vulnerability of someone who is struggling with his sexuality. The show shares similarities with another popular teen drama Sex Education.
