Chesapeake Shores is back for its sixth and final season, with most Netflix regions around the world anticipating weekly episodes of the feel-good series based on Sherryl Woods’ books. Season 6 of Chesapeake Shores is now available on Netflix, and we have a release guide for you.
The drama series produced by Borderline Distribution, Inc. for the US TV network Hallmark Channel has been a beloved family drama since its debut in 2016, and most of you have seen it all on Netflix.
The series, created by John Tinker and Nancey Silvers, follows a young woman who returns to her hometown to assist her sister in saving her sister’s failing inn.
The final season will consist of ten episodes and will premiere in the summer of 2022. The final season will be filmed between March 28th and June 28th, 2022.
Netflix owns the global rights to Chesapeake Shores, with the exception of the United States and Canada. As a result, Chesapeake Shores will be distributed to almost every country on the planet, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
The good news is that Netflix has been airing weekly episodes of the show for the past three seasons. That means the show will air on Hallmark one evening before being released on Netflix the next morning.
Season 5 of Chesapeake Shores, which aired on Netflix weekly throughout 2021, was no exception.
Once we have confirmation of when the series’ final season will premiere, we’ll post a full release schedule table below. For the time being, all you need to know is that Chesapeake Shores season 6 will air weekly episodes beginning in summer 2022.
Despite carrying the series since the first season, Netflix US no longer streams Chesapeake Shores.
Netflix lost the US rights to the show in early 2017, as you may recall. Despite the fact that Netflix has a vested interest in Sherryl Woods’ work, we haven’t seen or heard of any plans to relicense the show since then.
