MCU’s action-adventure crime thriller Loki’s season 2 is on its way. The second season of Loki was officially announced on July 14, 2021. The series is created by Michael Waldron for the streaming service Disney+. Starring Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the series is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The impulsive and erratic villain, Loki resumes his power as the ‘God of Mischief’ in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” The second season of the franchise will also be consist of six episodes. According to the latest reports, the cast will begin shooting for season 2 of the series in the summer of 2022.

The official release date of the show is still not confirmed but according to some reports, the fans may not have to wait for so long, the series will be released at the end of 2023. The series is the only Marvel TV show to go into a second season as most of the shows were only one-season series. According to Kevin Feige, the filming will begin in 2022 or 2023 as per the situation. Loki season 1 producer Kate Herron confirmed that he will not produce the second season of the franchise. He said, “I’m really happy to watch it as a fan next season. I just think I’m proud of what we did here and I’ve given it my all.”

The cast of season 2 includes Tom Hiddleston as the main protagonist, Owen Wilson as TVA agent Mobius in the Disney+ Marvel series, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer. In the finale of the first season, Loki finds himself at the Time Variance Authority office again. He was confused and run to find Agent Mobius. We last saw Agent Mobius and Hunter B-15 talking together about the creation of the multiverse. The final episode ended with Sylvie putting a dagger into Kang the conqueror’s heart. The plot of season 2 has been kept a mystery but Tom Hiddleston hints that Loki will be going to solve his mistakes this season. Kevin Feige also claimed that the new season will bring out some unexpected turns of moments.
