Historical crime drama, Peaky Blinders‘ Season 6 will be released on the streaming service, Netflix on June 10 this year. It’s been more than two years since the show has premiered its last season. The last and final season of the show, season 6 was released on BBC for UK viewers on February 27, 2022. Now it is ready to stream worldwide on Netflix. The plot is set in the 1920s in Birmingham, England, and follows a gangster family of Irish-Romani origin led by the fierce Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), a crime boss set on moving up in the world no matter the cost. The creator of the show ‘Steven Knight‘ is now planning to make a sequel movie to the show Peaky blinders. According to Knight, the movie is expected to hit the theatres in 2023.
In an interview, creator Stevan Knight said, “I know exactly what’s going to happen, I know what the story is and I’m writing at the moment. It’s a very specific story, that’s based on a true story from the Second World War and will be told in the Peaky way.” He also revealed that the new character of Hayden Stagg, played by Stephen Graham, can also be seen in the movie.“I’ve wanted him in the series for a long time and in this series, we managed to get the schedules aligned. I was writing a character, set in the Liverpool Docks and I knew, it could only be him. It’s been brilliant, and I want to keep him as part of it, going forward,” Steven explained.
Knight also mentioned that all the new characters introduced in season 6 of the drama will be included in the upcoming film. He added, “In series six we’re bringing in the new generation, and they are going to be part of what happens in the film. I think it’s finding those actors that you just watch and you think, there you go. There’s the future. For all, we know somebody is going to pop out and I think I know who it’s going to be”
