The erotic drama thriller by Adrian Lyne, Deep Water is based on the novel from 1957 of Patricia Highsmith. Its a story of a married couple who are at the verge to end their relationship, so the husband allows her wife to have affairs in order to avoid the divorce. They try to stay together for the sake of their daughter Trixie. Much sooner into the movie one of the lovers of the wife, played by Ana De Armas, is murdered and the husband becomes the prime suspect.
There is a scene from the movie where Melinda(Ana De Armas) gets really drunk and and starts to have ‘fun’ with a man, whom she personally invited to that party. When Vic, played by Ben Affleck, gets a moment alone with that young handsome fella, he tells him that he murdered Melinda’s last lover. Was he joking about that? Because the next day he admits that he was indeed joking. But it is likely possible for the movie’s story line to be like Melinda cheats on Vic and Vic murders Melinda’s lovers. Only one way to find out, by streaming.
Deep Water is available to watch on Hulu on 18th March,22 and also on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas, Tracy Letts, Dash Minhok, Jacob Elordi, Kristen Cannolly can be seen in the movie as supporting actors. Well throughout the movie, the performances of Affleck and De Armas had wonderfully sold the movie as a psychosexual drama thriller, in which Lyne didn’t miss any chance to fully use the beauty and sexual chemistry on the screen.
