Consumption of South Korean media, particularly K-Dramas, has increased rapidly over the last decade. Netflix has expended enormous effort in acquiring some of the best and most recent K-Dramas available, quickly establishing itself as one of the best streaming services for K-Drama-related content.
The addition of the Korean adaptation of Money Heist to Netflix’s library only adds to its value. BH Entertainment and Content Zium are producing the show.
Kim Hong-sun, who has worked on K-Dramas such as Voice and The Guest, will direct the series. Ryu Yong-Jae, the screenwriter for the Netflix Original series My Holo Love, will write the screenplay for the upcoming adaptation. Choe Sung-jun and Kim Hwan-Chae will collaborate on the project.

According to the information provided in the announcement, Money Heist creator Alex Pina will not be involved in the series’ production. The first season of Money Heist will consist of 12 episodes. Each episode will be 60 minutes in length.
