Ghost Rider 2 director wishes to see ‘Johnny Blaze vs The Avengers’

Ghost Rider movie Cage h21

Mark Neveldine, director of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance says he’d like to see Ghost Rider destroying The Avengers. Mark directed the 2011 superhero genre movie sequel, bringing back Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider under 20th Century Fox production(who owned the rights at that time).

Nicolas cage in 2007, first appeared as the character Ghost Rider, directed by Mark Steven Johnson, which went over box office with enough decency giving off a green signal to a sequel. IN 2011, Mark Neveldine’s Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance starred Nicolas Cage along with Idris Elba, Ciarán Hinds, and Christopher Lambert.

Unfortunately, Nicolas Cage was neither that well received, nor did make such profit. Although many did see the movie as a cult classic movie. Ghost Rider later appeared on Agents of SHIELD on ABC with a new twist for the character, played by Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes who had a different variation of the Ghost Rider curse and instead of a motorcycle, the car was the drive. The character did appear for multiple episodes but not seen in live action for some time now. But now with Cage’s affirmative affection towards the character, rumours are there of the character’s return.

Marvel Studios is re-establishing their street level heroes on Disney+, where Marvel/Netflix shows like Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and Iron Fist are now housed, Moon Knight is set to debut this month as well, this being another MCU character in the darker side of the universe opening a window for more characters having the calibre like Ghost Rider.

While talking to Comic Book Movie, Neveldine was asked about his experience while working with Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance, he told-“Johnny Blaze will continue to grow his legend”. The director stated about having a very specific desire for what he’d like to see about Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze’s appearance, saying “Ghost Rider should blaze through the Avengers and lay them to waste.
