Bella Thorne expresses her desire to play lady Deadpool in upcoming Deadpool sequel with Ryan Reynolds. She also expressed her love for superhero genre. With Deadpool 3 in working, the sequel is moving forwards in Marvel Studios making it the first R-rated film in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After the success of first Deadpool movie in 2016, Thorne mentioned her interest in playing Lady Deadpool in the sequel. The 3rd Deadpool installment will see the return of Ryan Reynolds as titular Merc with a mouth and making his debut in MCU. Reynolds also serves as producer on the Deadpool films, reuniting with Shawn Levy director of Free Guy and The Adam Project, to helm Deadpool 3.
As for now, nothing is known about the story of Deadpool 3 and there is no indication of Lady Deadpool being involved. In an interview with Comic Book Movie, Bella Thorne expressed great enthusiasm for superhero genre films and praised Reynolds for the Deadpool classing him as her favourite. She spoke that ‘Lady Deadpool’ is her dream role and also hoping to team up with Ryan Reynolds.
When asked whether she was still interested or not for the role, “Yes, superheroes are definitely fun. I love action stuff, naturally, and I do a lot of action stuff with stunts and whatnot. It’s just always really fun on set and it breaks up the work day when you get to concentrate on the body and feel and how to perform not just using your voice. That’s always really fun for me. Deadpool is my favourite. It’s so raunchy and, hello, who doesn’t love Ryan Reynolds? He just f***ing nails that role to the floor. What I love about Deadpool is that realism mixed with the, you know, superhero world. It’s something where we feel we can talk to this superhero now in today’s day while still having them be a superhero. I love that s**t.”
